Seoul shares higher led by banks, defensive issues
SEOUL |
SEOUL Aug 27 (Reuters) - Seoul shares closed slightly higher on Wednesday, reversing earlier losses of up to 1.6 percent on gains in banking and defensive issues, but falling tech shares continued to weigh on the index.
The Korea Composite Stock Price Index .KS11 closed up 0.25 percent at 1,493.92 points, but has still lost 8 percent since late July.
