KARACHI Aug 28 (Reuters) - Pakistani stock exchange authorities set a floor of 9,144 points for the Karachi Stock Exchange index on Thursday, an exchange director said, following heavy losses in recent days.

"Trading will happen but the index won't go down below 9,144," an exchange director, Sohail Diyala, told Reuters, referring to Wednesday's index closing level. (Reporting by Aftab Borka; Editing by Robert Birsel)
