Epson Ships 50 Millionth HTPS TFT Panel for 3LCD Projection Systems

today announced that it recently shipped its 50 millionth
high-temperature polysilicon (HTPS) TFT panel for 3LCD projection
systems. Epson has maintained its position as the industry's leading
supplier of HTPS panels, the key component in 3LCD projectors, ever
since becoming the first manufacturer in the world to launch
full-scale volume production of 1.3-inch VGA panels in 1994. Epson is
constantly undertaking the development of new technologies to improve
