Please note the following regarding the Viewing and Memorial Services for
The Honorable Stephanie Tubbs Jones to be held on Friday, August 29 &
Saturday, August 30, 2008 respectively.

*All Events will take place at Bethany Baptist Church, 1211 E 105th St,
Cleveland, OH 44108
Public Viewing
9:00AM-2:00PM & 6:00PM-8:00PM
Instructions for the Public
At approximately 9:00AM guests may enter Bethany Baptist Church to view
the body.
Guests are asked to move through the sanctuary in an expeditious manner.
There will be NO LOITERING permitted in the church.
Parking for the public will be made available at the following church
parking lots located on East 105th Street: Greater Abyssinia Baptist Church,
St. Luke's Missionary Baptist Church, Cory Methodist Church, Cleveland Church
of God in Christ and Lee Memorial Church. East 105th Street will be closed
between Olivet Avenue and Tacoma Avenue. There will be NO street parking on
East 105th Street. The public is encouraged to use parallel access roads,
including Parkwood Drive at either Tacoma Avenue or Olivet Avenue or East 99th
Street at South Boulevard.
At approximately 2:00PM the church will be cleared prior to the Delta
Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Omega Omega Service.
Upon the conclusion of the Delta Sigma Theta service, the public viewing
will resume at 6:00PM concluding at 8:00PM.
Media Instructions
All Cleveland stations will have access to the Bethany Baptist Church
parking lot to the South of the church at East 105th Street and Olivet Avenue
for their early morning shows from 5:00AM-7:00AM ONLY. After 7:00AM all media
vehicles should proceed to the parking lot at East 105th Street and Hampden
Avenue (see directions below)
After 7:00AM, ONLY WJW's SNG truck will be permitted in the Bethany
Baptist Church Annex lot, in the first two spaces next to the southernmost
doors of the church on E. 105th Street.
All media reporting outside of the church will be able to set up their
vehicles in the East 105th Street and Hampden Avenue parking lot on the West
side of the street. In order to reach the parking lot, media are encouraged to
take the following route: West on Superior Avenue to E. 99th Street. Travel
North on E. 99th Street to Hampden Avenue. Right turn (East) on Hampden Avenue
to East 105th Street. Media Parking lot will be on the left side of the corner
of Hampden Avenue and East 105th Street.
The public viewing will be a pooled media event for all television
stations. Coordinates for satellite feeds are as follows:

Print and other electronic media should enter the church through the
southernmost door on East 105th Street and must present press credentials upon
arrival.
Out of respect for the family of Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones and
Bethany Baptist Church we ask that NO PICTURES be taken directly into the
casket.
NO INTERVIEWS will be granted INSIDE of the church. Media may interview
members of the public outside of the church.

This is an open ritual and the public is welcome to attend; however, we
ask that members of the community give deference to members of Delta Sigma
Theta Sorority, Inc.
Names of the participating Delta Sigma Theta Sorority members will be
forthcoming.
We ask that the public/media respect the solemnity of the service.

Convention Center, 500 Lakeside Ave., Cleveland, OH 44114
Public Viewing
8:00AM-10:30AM
Instructions for the Public
Parking for the public will be available at the Willard Building Garage on
Lakeside Avenue. East 6th Street will be closed between St. Clair and Lakeside
Avenues. Members of the community are encouraged to use public transportation.
Doors will open to the public at approximately 8:00AM. Guests will enter
through the main doors on Lakeside Avenue. Members of the community are
encouraged to keep personal belongings to a minimum and will be required to
pass through security screening.
The viewing will last approximately two and a half hours. During this
time, guests will have the opportunity to pay their respects to Congresswoman
Stephanie Tubbs Jones as she lies in state in Public Auditorium.
Public Officials should deliver proclamations, condolences, resolution, etc.,
to the 11th Congressional District Office, 3645 Warrensville Center Road,
Suite 204, Shaker Heights, Ohio 44122, Attention Betty K. Pinkney, no later
that 10:00AM, Friday, August 29 in order for them to be acknowledged during
the program. At approximately 10:30AM, the public viewing will conclude.
Media Instructions
Set-up for the WJW Satellite Truck will take place Friday, August 29, 2008
at 7:00PM.
All media who plan on attending this event must send their names and
contact information to Nicole Williams at Nicole.Williams@mail.house.gov by
Thursday, August 28, 2008 at 5:00PM EDT. Note: The number of media will be
limited to two (2) per news organization.
The public viewing and the memorial service will be a pooled media event

7:30AM and will be credentialed on-site. Media should enter through the
southwest doors to the Convention Center, near the live truck parking, off of
St. Clair Avenue, near the electronic Cleveland Convention Center sign. East
6th Street will be closed between St. Clair and Lakeside Avenues.
THERE WILL BE NO ADMITTANCE FOR MEDIA AFTER 10:30AM.
Member of the print media should be advised that only pen and paper will
be allowed inside auditorium. A station will be made available to file stories
outside of the auditorium.
Once the program begins, entering and exiting the building will be
limited.
Out of respect for the family of Representative Tubbs Jones we ask that no
pictures be taken directly into the casket. At approximately 10:30AM, the
public viewing will conclude. Following this the casket will be closed and
remain closed for the remainder of the ceremony.
We ask that NO INTERVIEWS be conducted inside of the Convention Center.
Media may conduct interviews outside of the Convention Center with members of
the community.
