TOKYO Aug 28 (Reuters) - Mitsubishi Chemical Corp, Japan's top petrochemical maker, said on Thursday it would cut runs of its naphtha crackers from September until the end of December, reflecting weaker demand for petrochemical products.

The company will cut the operating rates of its three naphtha crackers in Japan to 80-85 percent of capacity from September, from the current 93 percent, a company spokesman said. (Reporting by Osamu Tsukimori)
