LONDON, Sept 2 (Reuters) - British recruitment firm Hays Plc (HAYS.L) posted a 25 percent increase in annual profit driven by strong international growth but warned that market conditions would be challenging in the short-term.

Hays, which generates most of its fees from the UK and Ireland, reported pretax profit for the 12 months ending June 30 of 264.4 million pounds ($477.4 million) as like-for-like net fees grew 19 percent to 786.8 million pounds.
