New V-Series HE Rectifier is More Than 95% Efficient and is a
Drop-In Replacement for Popular Wireless and Remote Terminal Power
                                Systems
RICHARDSON, Texas--(Business Wire)--
Eltek Valere, a leading power system provider for
telecommunication and industrial applications, today announced the
V-Series HE, a series of rectifiers offering more than 95% efficient
power conversion. The V-Series HE debuts as Eltek Valere's second
product line to adopt high-efficiency technology.

The V-Series HE is a standalone, 48-volt AC-to-DC power rectifier
and battery charger that provides up to 1,000 Watts of power for
telecom applications. It features a voltage input range of 90-264 VAC
and a power output of 20.8 Amps. The rectifier provides full digital
control, with a simplified structure and more intelligent monitoring.

The V-Series HE is fully compliant with Eltek Valere's Compact DC
Power System, Integrated DC Power System and Modular DC Power Systems.
These extremely popular systems are installed in thousands of wireless
and remote terminal locations worldwide.

The V-Series HE is the second in a line of high-efficiency
rectifiers from Eltek Valere, following the Flatpack2 HE, which was
launched in Jan. 2008. The Flatpack2 HE was the industry's first DC
rectifier offering 96% power conversion efficiency. Both rectifiers
reduce DC power conversion loss by as much as 50%, when compared with
industry standard 92% systems.

Last year, telecommunications service providers used 1% of the
total electricity consumed, with over 115 billion kW/h of electricity
flowing through AC-DC power systems to power network equipment,
according to industry estimates. With a reduction of half of all waste
energy generated by DC power systems, carriers can expect to gain
significant savings in electricity costs, while also cutting energy
usage and reducing their carbon emission footprint.

"Eltek Valere's V-Series HE and Flatpack2 HE are prime examples of
our commitment to green technology," said Allen Pitts, Eltek Valere
Vice President of Sales. "With these high-efficiency product lines,
carriers can cut costs and power consumption, allowing for greater
dedication to their own environmental initiatives."

The V-Series HE also features the BC controller for complete
remote and onsite monitoring of the rectifier and other system
elements. In addition, the rectifier includes a self-protective
feature that allows for adjustment to output power depending on
temperature and input voltages.

The V-Series HE Rectifier Module V1000A-HE will be available in
February 2009 from Eltek Valere and its resellers worldwide. All V
Series rectifiers have a CE mark, are UL recognized and are NEBS
compliant.
