New network leverages DVB-S2/ACM bandwidth efficiency gains to aid rebuilding

installed an iDirect Series 15000 Universal Hub and 50 Evolution X3 Satellite
Routers to power an enhanced DVB-S2 network with Adaptive Coding and
Modulation (ACM) for corporate and government customers in Iraq and the Middle

With satellite capacity strained in the region, the new network will
leverage the bandwidth efficiencies of DVB-S2 with ACM to deliver enterprise
broadband applications, including Voice over IP (VoIP), videoconferencing,
file transfer and Internet access. The system will support TigrisNet's
customers in the region, particularly in Iraq, where a severe shortage of
operational terrestrial networks has created a demand for high-speed satellite
connectivity. TigrisNet is supporting numerous government ministries,
international organizations and local businesses that are working to rebuild
the country's infrastructure. With the implementation of the new DVB-S2
