Jeffrey A. Leerink and Leerink Swann Present Big Brothers Big Sisters 5th Annual Fishing Tournament and Inaugural Golf Tournament

Anglers and Golfers unite to help kids throughout Massachusetts
HYANNIS, Mass.--(Business Wire)--
A group of over 200 anglers and golfers will join healthcare
investment bank Leerink Swann to support Big Brothers and Big Sisters
on September 19 and 20. One hundred anglers on more than 20 boats are
scheduled to take to the seas on Saturday, September 20, from Hyannis
to support Big Brothers Big Sisters programs in one of the region's
largest fishing charity events.

This year's event is expected to raise over $250,000, lifting the
grand total amount of money the tournament has raised to over $1
million since 2003. The funding benefits the more than 3,500 children
in the Greater Boston and Cape Cod areas who are currently matched
with a Big Brother or Big Sister. This year, twenty-five Big and
Little matches will board Hyline Cruises where they will cast their
lines for the catch of the day.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay CEO John Pearson
notes, "This event is a wonderful opportunity for the Little Brothers
and Little Sisters we serve to participate in a fundraising event that
ultimately benefits them. We are so grateful to Leerink Swann and all
of our supporters who make this event possible each year."

On Friday, September 19, the day before the fishing tournament,
the inaugural Golf tournament will kick off weekend activities. More
than 100 golfers will enjoy the links at the historic Wianno Club in
Osterville for 18 holes of fun, all in support of Big Brothers Big
Sisters.

"We are excited to add the inaugural Golf tournament to this
year's slate of activities for the Big Brothers Big Sisters program,"
said Jeffrey A. Leerink, Chairman and CEO of Leerink Swann. "The
annual fishing tournament has been an enormous success over the past
four years and we will continue to find new ways to provide sustained
support for a program that is so important to thousands of children
across the state."

Both days include celebrity participants, post-event receptions,
auctions, and contests. Among the celebrities expected to attend are
David Silk, 1980 U.S. Hockey team gold medalist, and former Red Sox
pitcher Mark "The Bird" Fidrych.
