WASHINGTON--(Business Wire)--
GEICO is sponsoring The Kreeger Museum's 2008 open house on
Sunday, Sept. 7, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Kreeger Museum, located at
2401 Foxhall Road NW, Washington, D.C., showcases art from the 1850s
to the 1970s and is comprised of the works from the Impressionists,
American artists, Indian and Pre-Columbian pieces, as well as art from
west and central Africa.

The GEICO Gecko will be on hand to greet visitors, along with
GEICO associates. Among the special activities planned for the open
house are gallery tours with museum docents, workshops with
professional artists, free raffles and ice cream, and a performance by
the Young Women's Drumming Empowerment Project.

"GEICO is proud to be part of The Kreeger Museum's commitment to
provide the public with enriching experiences in the arts," said
Rynthia Rost, GEICO vice president of public affairs. "GEICO has a
long history with the Kreeger Museum, as it was previously the home of
former GEICO president, chairman and CEO, David Lloyd Kreeger, who led
the company from 1964 to 1974."

"We are extremely grateful to the GEICO Philanthropic Foundation
for sponsoring The Kreeger Museum 2008 open house," said Judy A.
Greenberg, Director of The Kreeger Museum. "Serving youth and adults
is an important function of the museum and I am delighted that GEICO
will be a part of this community-minded event. We're all thrilled that
the Gecko will hang-out with our visitors."

The Kreeger Museum 2008 open house is a celebration of the arts,
filled with music, workshops and visual art. Guests are invited to
bring a picnic lunch to enjoy in the gardens. This is a free event for
