Solution expected to maximize food and beverage transactions at
venues across North America
ATLANTA--(Business Wire)--
Radiant Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: RADS) announced today that it has
been selected by Live Nation (NYSE: LYV), the world's largest
live-music company, to deploy its Quest point of sale (POS) solutions
in the company's top North American amphitheaters, clubs and theaters.
Radiant will install its hosted Quest VenueManager back-office
solution, VersaTerm POS and V-Touch POS terminals in 18 top-grossing
Live Nation amphitheaters. These sites include the Comcast Center in
Massachusetts and Susquehanna Bank Center in New Jersey, as well as in
10 of the company's most successful clubs and theaters across the
country. The solution is expected to increase the speed and accuracy
of food and beverage transactions, enable credit card transactions for
the first time at many venues, and feature a site-level technology
platform that will allow Live Nation to track and analyze the
purchasing habits of music fans to increase customer service and
profits.
"We drive more than $100 million in food and beverage sales
through our North American venues annually," said Jason Garner, Live
Nation's chief executive officer of North American music. "We have
consistently grown this business over the last several years and
believe that the addition of the efficiencies and data that we gain
with the Quest system will allow us to continue that growth trend into
the future."
Radiant will install a combination of more than 2,000
fixed-position and portable Quest POS terminals throughout the
selected venues to expedite sales transactions at general and portable
concession locations and VIP zones. The terminals will operate on a
high-speed, wireless network infrastructure to enable faster payment
acceptance for all transactions and minimize waiting time for fans. In
addition, the hosted Quest VenueManager back-office solution will
provide concession vendors with inventory and monetary control
capabilities at each active point of service.
"Live Nation joins a growing list of venue managers in North
America utilizing Quest technology to increase sales and
profitability," said Scott Kingsfield, president of the sports and
entertainment division at Radiant Systems. "Our solutions enable
real-time centralized analysis of venue transactions across the
country, providing Live Nation access to data about fans' buying
behaviors needed to support long-term growth opportunities."
