Program Announces 2008 Wage, Salary, HR Policy and Practice
      Statistics for Washington DC Metro Area Employers/Workforce

WASHINGTON--(Business Wire)--
The Human Resource Association of the National Capital Area
(HRA-NCA) will be releasing the 2008 HRA-NCA Compensation Survey
Report, a 750 page book based on a comprehensive survey of a cross
section of Washington, DC area employers. The survey results are also
available online. Compensation 2008 will be held 9:00-10:30 AM,
Thursday September 4 at the Sun Trust Headquarters 1445 New York
Avenue NW, 9th Floor Washington, DC. Please arrive by 8:45 AM if
possible to facilitate registration. A continental breakfast will be
served from 8:30-9:00 AM. This Survey has been produced annually for
29 years and is known to be the most definitive source of human
resource wage, salary and benefit, policy and practice data for the
greater Washington, DC region.

   Reporters who PREREGISTER BY Wednesday SEPTEMBER 3 and attend the
event will be provided a free copy of the report (a $900 VALUE) for
use as a reference manual for stories throughout the year. The seminar
and report will answer questions such as:

   1) What was the average salary increase in the DC region from 2007
to 2008?

   2) What are the average salary increases in different industry
groups (associations, law offices, government contractors, etc.) or
job classifications (administration, marketing, construction, etc.)?

   3) What is the pay differential for equivalent jobs that require
security clearances vs. those that don't?

   The survey covers the compensation for 350 distinct jobs in the
region. The speakers at the event will provide a detailed analysis of
the major employment compensation trends in the DC area. Come to this
important event to meet leaders in the DC HR community. Two hundred
and fifty attendees are expected.

   Speakers will be leaders in the human resource, government
contractor arenas and will be available for questions and answers and
interviews immediately following the event. The event is co-sponsored
by the Professional Services Council.

   HRA-NCA is the professional society representing Washington DC
area Human Resource professionals.
