North Star Resource Group Promotes Edward Deutschlander and David Vasos to
Co-Presidents
MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- North Star Resource Group -- a
comprehensive financial services firm based in Minneapolis -- announced today
that it has promoted Edward G. Deutschlander and David Vasos to co-presidents
of the firm, effective immediately. In addition to the co-president roles,
Deutschlander will serve as chief operating officer and Vasos as chief
financial officer.

continuing great service to our clients and attracting and retaining the best
advisors," said Phillip C. Richards, chief executive officer of North Star
Resource Group. "Both Ed and Dave have distinguished themselves over the

Both men have spent their entire careers at North Star Resource Group.
Deutschlander joined North Star Resource Group in 1993 as an advisor and then
moved into recruiting roles for the firm. He was most recently executive vice
president. In addition, he recently served as president of GAMA
International, an organization serving the professional development needs of
individuals and companies engaged in the distribution of financial services
and products. Deutschlander is a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and a
Chartered Leadership Fellow (CLF), and is active in many industry
associations, including GAMA International, the National Association of
Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) and serves on the board of the Scott
H. Richards North Star Charitable Foundation.
Vasos joined North Star Resource Group in 1981 as an advisor after earning
his MBA in Financial Economics from the University of Iowa. He was most
recently executive vice president, chief financial officer and chief operating
officer for North Star and a vice president of CRI Securities, LLC, a
securities broker/dealer and registered investment advisor. He is a CERTIFIED
FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP(R)) Practitioner, a member of the Financial Planning
Association, the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors
(NAIFA) and GAMA International. He serves on the board of the Scott H.
Richards North Star Charitable Foundation.
