Goody's Family Clothing Appoints Chief Merchandise Officer

KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Sept. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Paul White, Chief Executive
Officer of Goody's Family Clothing, has announced the appointment of Lynn
Hempe to the position of Chief Merchandise Officer. Effective August 28, Hempe
is responsible for developing and executing strategies for merchandising,
product development, e-commerce, and planning and allocation to grow sales and
profitability.
    Hempe's experience includes a wide background in merchandising and support
functions. She began her career at the Dayton Hudson Corporation, moving to
Marshall Fields where she held various merchandise support positions and
Divisional Merchandise Manager responsibilities. Hempe has also served as Vice
President-Home, Ready-to-Wear and Cosmetics with ShopNBC, Senior Vice
President/General Merchandise Manager-Apparel and Accessories at Shopko, and
most recently, Senior Vice President/Chief Merchandise Officer for Regis
Corporation.
