System Boosts Math and Reading Scores and Is Correlated With State
Standards and TCAP Objectives
DULUTH, Ga.--(Business Wire)--
Curriculum Advantage, Inc. announced today that the Tennessee
Organization of School Superintendents (TOSS) has selected Classworks
as one of the premier curriculum and remediation tools of choice for
Tennessee's elementary, middle and high schools. TOSS leaders cited
Classworks' history of raising student test scores in math and reading
and its correlation to state standards and TCAP objectives as reasons
for selecting the system.

Classworks (www.curriculumadvantage.com) gives teachers a single
technology-based source for over 10,800 learning activities and
lessons that are built from 180 different software products.
Classworks is the only curriculum solution of its kind that can import
data directly from state-mandated assessment tests and then uses that
data to automatically assign individualized learning paths based on
student deficiencies. The Tennessee Edition of Classworks is
correlated with the newly released Tennessee Mathematics and English
Language Arts standards.

"Classworks not only brings a variety of teaching resources to the
classroom, it also offers differentiated instruction for all learners
while addressing reading and mathematics deficiencies," said Dr. Keith
Brewer, executive director of TOSS. "We are pleased to have an
agreement with Curriculum Advantage that will bring to the attention
of educational leaders the Classworks product that is closely
integrated with Tennessee's education goals while making it more
accessible for teachers."

"Curriculum Advantage is proud to be a partner with TOSS and
pleased that Classworks will be such an integral part of reaching the
state's goal for improved achievement in mathematics and reading,"
said Mr. Lindsey Cook, president of Curriculum Advantage.

A Tennessee Edition with import features has been created that
allows teachers to import TCAP scores with one simple step and
immediately see prescribed, individualized lessons for each student
from Classworks' vast library of 10,800 learning activities. After
completing the assigned activities, Classworks then tests the students
and give reports to the teacher to evaluate progress and prescribe
additional work if necessary.

The Tennessee Edition with import features is important to helping
the state reach its goals for adequate yearly progress (AYP). Because
Tennessee uses data from the TCAP combined with achievement goals from
the state standards to measure adequate yearly progress, the Tennessee
Edition of Classworks allows teachers to spend more time on task and
make significant strides to meeting AYP goals.
