TDG Aerospace's UFI(R) Receives European Aviation Safety Agency STC Approval for Installation on Boeing 737-600-700-800-900 Airplane Fuel Systems

ESCONDIDO, Calif.--(Business Wire)--
TDG Aerospace, manufacturer of the most advanced and
cost-effective safety solutions for the commercial aviation industry,
is pleased to announce that European Aviation Safety Agency has issued
STC EASA.IM.A.A.02796 which permits installation of TDG's UFI(R)
device on Boeing 737-NG series aircraft, providing comprehensive
electrical fault protection and fuel pump auto-shutoff for the center
tank fuel systems. In addition the UFI(R) is an alternate means of
compliance with the requirements of paragraph (b) of AD 2002-24-51 and
paragraph (a) of AD 2001-08-24 for all Boeing Model
737-600-700-700C-800-900 airplanes.

"TDG Aerospace has sold several hundred UFI(R) units to major
commercial airlines, including American, Delta, Continental Airlines,"
said Gerald Bench, President and CEO, TDG Aerospace. "These airlines
have been proactive in installing UFI(R) units in advance of the
issuance of the AD to provide maximum passenger, personnel and
equipment safety. We believe the UFI(R) will be the industry standard
for 737 NG operators worldwide."

The company's patented UFI(R) fault detection system protects
aircraft electrical systems and components from faults in critical
areas, such as fuel boost pump motors and related wiring. In fuel
boost pump applications, TDG's UFI(R) device provides comprehensive
electrical fault protection and fuel boost pump automatic shut-off for
center tank fuel systems. Additionally, the UFI(R) unit provides a
redundant relay solution to prevent un-commanded operation of the pump
in the event of a failed control relay. TDG's UFI(R) system is the
only single installation system available that provides comprehensive
protection against potential ignition sources identified by Special
Federal Aviation Regulation (SFAR) 88 system reviews.
