LJUBLJANA, Sept 2 (Reuters) - Slovenia's leading national telecom operator Telekom (TLSG.LJ) said on Tuesday it had bought Bosnian cable television operator Netkom for 1.3 million euros ($1.91 million).

"This is the first step towards expanding our network ... and providing an end-to-end service in the field of electronic communications, including telephony, Internet and multimedia services (in Bosnia)," it said in a statement.

Telekom, Slovenia's second-largest listed company, with a market capitalisation of about 1.5 billion euros, already owns Bosnian telecom operator and Internet provider Aneks.

The company said it would merge the newly acquired Netkom with Aneks. (Reporting by Marja Novak; Editing by Sue Thomas)
