SOUDERTON, Pa., Sept. 5 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Talks between the Souderton
Area School Board and Souderton Area Education Association broke down one hour
after they began today. The session ended at noon.

"The school board came in and instead of negotiating what was on the table,
threw new items onto the table related to what happens after the strike. The
board is obviously more interested in punishing teachers than in negotiating,"
said Pennsylvania State Education Association spokesman Rob Broderick. "The
board obviously doesn't care if the strike continues."

No new talks are scheduled.
