Bakers Footwear Announces Release Date and Webcast for Second Quarter Fiscal 2008 Results

ST. LOUIS--(Business Wire)--
Bakers Footwear Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: BKRS) today announced that
the Company will report second quarter fiscal 2008 results on
Wednesday, September 10, 2008 before the market opens. The Company
plans to conduct a conference call to discuss these results on the
same day at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time. The conference call will be hosted
by Peter Edison, Chairman and Charles R. Daniel III, Vice President -
Finance.

   Investors and analysts interested in participating in the call are
