DUBLIN, Ireland--(Business Wire)--
Jurys Inns Group, ('Jurys Inns' or 'The Group') the premium budget
hotel group in the UK and Ireland, today condemned comments made by
the UK's Minister for Tourism, Margaret Hodge, in which she accused
British hoteliers of damaging the British tourism industry by ripping
off their customers.

Jurys Inns has established and maintained an unparalleled
reputation for providing superior value for money, without
compromising quality or comfort; and, for defining the highest
standards in the budget plus accommodation sector across the UK. The
Group continues to expand aggressively in the highly competitive UK
market and with this growth Jurys Inns is enabling more and more
consumers across Great Britain the opportunity to avail of its unique
budget plus hotels at unrivaled prices - GBP 79 per room per night
during the week and only GBP 59 per room per night at the weekends.

Niall Geoghegan, Chief Executive of Jurys Inns Group commented,
"We reject the comments made by Margaret Hodge. These comments are
unhelpful and without merit. The incredible value for money we
continue to offer our consumers across our growing number of hotels
shows these comments to be selective and, in many respects,
misleading. Not alone do we offer business travelers extremely
competitive rates during the week but these prices are lowered even
further at weekends, a time when most of our guests are tourists,
demonstrating that the Minister's comments are without substance."

He continued, "The success Jurys Inns continues to enjoy in the
highly competitive UK market in the last year is testament to the
strength of our team, the unrivaled prices we offer and the quality of
the service we provide."
