Sept 5 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals involving European, U.S. and Asian companies were reported by 0400 GMT on Friday.

** A consortium led by Japanese trading house Marubeni Corp (8002.T) is poised to win an auction to buy Singapore's Temasek-owned Senoko Power, with an offer of more than S$3.5 billion ($2.4 billion), sources said. To read more, please double click on [nSIN296167]

** Shanghai Zhenhua Port Machinery (600320.SS) said it will buy operating assets worth 3.02 billion yuan ($442 million) from its parent via a private placement. [nSHA350987]

** Samsung Electronics Co Ltd (005930.KS) said it was considering "various opportunities" regarding SanDisk (SNDK.O), in response to reports it was interested in bidding for the U.S. flash memory maker. [nSEO162748]

** Insurer Assurant Inc (AIZ.N) said it agreed to buy a unit of General Electric Co (GE.N) that sells extended warranties on appliances, electronics and other goods, for a net cash sum of $25 million. [nN04442189]

** Borealis, an investment unit of one of Canada's largest pension plans, said it would offer more than C$2 billion ($1.9 billion) for Teranet Income Fund TF_u.TO to tap the steady cash flow generated by its land-registry business. [nN04292596]
