NEW YORK, Sept 5 (Reuters) - The next round of bids for Anglo-Dutch publisher Reed Elsevier's (REL.L)(ELSN.AS) trade magazine unit are due Sept. 18, three sources familiar with the situation said on Friday.

Several bidders submitted first-round offers for Reed's Business Information in August, valuing the publisher of Variety, Farmers Weekly and New Scientist at between 1 billion pounds and 1.25 billion ($1.9 billion to $2.3 billion), sources previously told Reuters.

The re-bids, not officially a second round, were allowed because bidders felt they were not provided enough information on the business in the first round, the sources said.

Reed put the unit on the block in February to reduce exposure to cyclical advertising markets.
