Nevada's July gambling revenue falls 13 percent

LOS ANGELES, Sept 10 (Reuters) - Nevada casinos won just under $1 billion from gamblers in July, a 13 percent decrease from the same month a year earlier, Nevada's Gaming Control Board said on Wednesday.

The take for casinos along the Las Vegas Strip -- the heart of Nevada's casino industry -- fell 14.7 percent to $519.2 million for the month.

Las Vegas Strip properties include casinos operated by MGM Mirage (MGM.N), Las Vegas Sands Corp (LVS.N), Wynn Resorts Ltd (WYNN.O) and Harrah's Entertainment Inc.

Other major gambling companies with casinos in Nevada include Boyd Gaming Corp (BYD.N) and Station Casinos Inc. (Reporting by Deena Beasley; editing by John Wallace)
