NEW YORK, NY, Sep 24 (MARKET WIRE) --
Citing the urgent need to follow through on the eight Millennium
Development Goals (MDG) laid out by the United Nations in 2000,
Generation 21, Inc. today officially launched G21.com (www.g21.com), a
social portal connecting people, organizations and socially conscious
companies committed to global change. The MDGs aim to arrest global
poverty, disease and environmental degradation by 2015.

"At no other time in the history of modern civilization have we been faced
with more serious and global challenges than we are today," said Bob
Webber, CEO and co-founder of Generation 21. "The UN's Millennium
Development Goals lay out a roadmap to solving these problems and G21.com
is a key component for helping to mobilize people and provide them with
the tools necessary to effect change."

The launch coincides with a series of UN events taking place in New York
this week including a forum on Thursday, September 25th where world
leaders will come together to renew their commitment to achieving these
goals and set out concrete plans and practical milestones for the future.

This event marks the halfway point to the MDGs and is the first time ever
governments, businesses, nongovernmental organizations and faith groups
will convene to take stock of progress, and agree upon additional steps
the international community must take to accelerate action and their
fulfillment.

With a focus on interactive activism, G21.com's mission is to bring
awareness to and inspire participation in fulfillment of the MDGs. The
portal aims to connect companies, causes, and consumers committed to these
important global initiatives by providing a platform where users can
congregate, communicate, share ideas and take action. The site was created
as an online channel to specifically focus people's energy and giving
towards accomplishment of the MDGs.

G21.com is also partnering with Alliance For A New Humanity
(www.anhglobal.org) and USA Harvest (www.usaharvest.com) to help extend
outreach efforts.

Targeted to be achieved by 2015, the MDGs seek to halve the numbers of
those suffering extreme poverty and hunger; to achieve universal primary
education and gender equality; to reduce the mortality rate among children
under five; to reduce the maternal mortality ratio; to halt the spread of
HIV/AIDS and malaria; to guarantee environmental sustainability; and to
promote a global partnership for development.

Generation 21 invites everyone to participate and take a stand against
poverty by registering at G21.com.

Generation 21, Inc. is a privately owned New York-based corporation.
