U.S. House adjourns until Thursday

WASHINGTON, Sept 29 (Reuters) - The U.S. House of Representatives adjourned in mid-afternoon on Monday without taking any further action on the proposed $700-billion Wall Street bailout plan it voted to reject earlier in the day.

The House was scheduled to reconvene on Thursday. (Reporting by Kevin Drawbaugh)
