Nomura to acquire Lehman India back-office ops

TOKYO Oct 6 (Reuters) - Nomura Holdings (8604.T), Japan's largest broker, said it would acquire the back-office operations of collapsed U.S. investment bank Lehman Brothers in India for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition will add about 3,000 employees to Nomura's work force, including 1,200 information technology professionals, Nomura said in a news release. (Reporting by Nathan Layne)
