Netflix adds $1 to monthly subscription for Blu-ray

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - DVD rental company Netflix Inc on Wednesday said it will begin adding $1 to monthly membership fees to provide unlimited access to high-definition Blu-ray movies.
In an email to subscribers, Netflix said the additional charge, to reflect the higher cost of Blu-ray discs, will be automatically added to billing statements on or after November 5th.
If subscribers do not wish to get Blu-ray access, they need to adjust their accounts through the Netflix website.
