Kazakh KMG E&P Jan-Sept oil output rises

ALMATY Oct 9 (Reuters) - Kazakh oil producer KazMunaiGas Exploration and Production (KMG EP) (KMGq.L) said on Thursday it produced 8.9 million tonnes (238,710 barrels per day) of oil in January-September 2008.

The company produced 7.8 million tonnes (209,930 barrels per day) in the same period of 2007.

The figure was "broadly in line with the annual production plan," KMG EP said in a statement.

The company has said it plans to produce 12.1 million tonnes of oil this year. (Writing by Olzhas Auyezov)
