WASHINGTON Oct 11 (Reuters) - The global financial crisis is a big test for the macroeconomic policies of developing countries, but China is holding up well and is willing to boost cooperation with other countries, Yi Gang, central bank deputy governor, said on Saturday.

"China is willing to strengthen its cooperation with other countries and, through such joint efforts, we hope global financial stability can be safeguarded," Yi said in a statement to the International Monetary Fund's steering committee. (Reporting by Paul Eckert; Editing by Neil Stempleman)
