Brandywine Global Investment Management Opens London Office

PHILADELPHIA--(Business Wire)--
Brandywine Global Investment Management, LLC ("Brandywine Global")
today announced the establishment of Brandywine Global Investment
Management (Europe) Limited, a new operating unit located in London,
England. Ted Whitaker, managing director of Brandywine Global's
international business, commented, "With the opening of a London
office, Brandywine Global has institutionalized its presence in this
important geography and will be better equipped to meet the needs of a
growing list of clients based in the U.K., Europe, the Middle East and
Africa."

Brandywine Global's client base is predominantly institutional and
global, with over 40% of assets managed on behalf of non-U.S.
domiciled clients. The London office is the firm's fourth location
globally. In 2003, the firm established Brandywine Global Investment
Management (Asia) Pte Ltd., based in Singapore. U.S. offices include
the firm's headquarters in Philadelphia and a satellite office in San
Francisco. Brandywine Global's investment management offerings span
four product groups and more than 25 investment strategies.
Institutional clients include governments, monetary and investment
authorities, corporations, non-profit organizations, health care

In cooperation with Mr. Whitaker, Johan Joly will serve as
director of sales, marketing support and client service for the London
office. Johan joined the firm in September 2008, bringing with him 10
years of industry experience. Most recently, he served as a director
with Lehman Brothers International, where he was responsible for sales
and marketing for the fixed income portfolio analytics group. Daniele
Drago will support Johan as associate director of sales, marketing
support and client service. Together, they will be responsible for
establishing, maintaining and enhancing relationships with clients and
consultants based in the EMEA region.
