Private Network Static IP From Verizon Wireless Gives Enterprise and
Government Customers More Options for Securely Managing Mobile Devices

BASKING RIDGE, N.J., Oct. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Verizon Wireless, builder and
operator of the nation's most reliable wireless voice and data network, today
announced the addition of Static IP (Internet Protocol) addressing to the
Verizon Wireless Private Network. Verizon Wireless Private Network is an
enterprise solution that lets customers communicate more securely and
consistently with their wireless devices by using a combination of Private IP
addressing and dedicated connectivity. The new Private Network Static IP
feature gives enterprise and government customers enhanced administrative
control over employees' access by allowing them to assign a unique IP address
to identify each mobile device accessing the network.

Enterprise and government customers can easily administer their wireless
workforce IP policies and reinforce corporate security by adding a fixed block
of wireless IP addresses to their corporate firewall. By using Static IP on
the Verizon Wireless Private Network, enterprise customers can request data on
demand from a specific device such as a wireless router whenever and wherever
needed.

Perfect for enterprises with a mobile workforce needing to access and send
sensitive information via a wireless router, embedded laptop or mobile
Internet device such as a smartphone, Verizon Wireless Private Network
enhances the protection and reliability of wireless data transmission by
avoiding the security risks associated with the public Internet. Companies
operating business-critical wireless applications, such as telemetry-based
applications or ATM transactions, benefit from enhanced security through
encrypted traffic. Enterprise customers must use their existing
authentication, authorization and accounting (AAA) server or purchase any AAA
server that supports the standards-based messaging that is required by Verizon
Wireless AAA Certification.

The Verizon Wireless Private Network with Static IP for mobile devices can be
set up for a one-time fee of $500.00 and is compatible with Verizon Wireless
PC cards, wireless routers, embedded laptops or mobile Internet devices,
including smartphones. To learn more about the Verizon Wireless Private
Network with Static IP and other offerings for enterprise businesses,
customers can contact their Verizon Wireless Enterprise Data Sales
Representative at 1-800-VZW-4BIZ or their Verizon Business Representative.
