Day, Gap is encouraging Americans to express themselves by purchasing a "Vote
for _____." t-shirt [$15] from their local Gap store or online at

expression or presidential candidate they are passionate about. Earlier this
month Gap launched its "Vote for" initiative [gap.com/votefor], a campaign
centered on a customizable classic white t-shirt that simply says, "Vote for
_____.", created as a platform for Americans to express their passions,
opinions and ideas during this election season.

In addition to customizing a "Vote for_____." t-shirt, Gap is inviting
Americans to get involved and express their opinions in a variety of ways over
the next two weeks. Also launching today are the limited-edition "Vote for"
buttons [$5] designed by 10 renowned artists and starting tomorrow Americans
can customize a tee with Gap's robot-manned "Vote for" t-shirt generator at
its concept store on NYC's 5th Ave. Additionally, check out Gap's store
windows nationwide to see images of 70 everyday Americans showcasing their
passions via their "Vote for ____." t-shirts.

Gap has enlisted renowned artists including Fab5Freddy, John Baldessari, Adam
Pendleton, Kara Walker, Nate Lowman, John Waters, Deborah Kass, Assume Vivid
Astro Focus, Laurie Simmons and Sean Landers to express themselves by
designing a limited edition "Vote for" button. Limited edition buttons are now
available in Gap's premier stores nationwide for $5 each. $1 of every purchase
will be donated to Declare Yourself, a non-profit and non-partisan campaign
encouraging people to register to vote. Also starting today, check out eBay to
bid on an exclusive set of the limited-edition buttons autographed by the

Starting October 24th through Election Day, Gap's New York City concept store,
next to its flagship store at 54th & 5th Ave, will give Americans a chance to
express themselves in a voting booth of a different kind. Visitors to the

with Gap's whimsical t-shirt generator. After casting their vote on how to
fill in the blank - including color choice, font and "campaign theme song," -
guests can watch as their blank "Vote for" t-shirt enters the fully automated

Singer/songwriter Matt White designed his own "Vote for Love." t-shirt,
