EXIN Partners With Information Security Specialist Security Certified Program
For New Exams

UTRECHT, The Netherlands, October 23 /PRNewswire/ -- EXIN (Examination
Institute for Information Science) is expanding its exam portfolio with the
new addition of the Security Certified Program (SCP(R)) certifications:
Security Certified Network Specialist (SCNS), Security Certified Network
Professional (SCNP) and Security Certified Network Architect (SCNA). On
October 22, representatives from EXIN and the US-based company SCP(R) signed
an agreement granting EXIN exclusive worldwide exam development and delivery
rights to the Security Certified Program, a vendor-neutral information
security program for IT professionals. By adding SCP(R) certifications to its
information security portfolio EXIN will meet growing IT industry demands for
skilled professionals with a solid awareness of information security issues.
    Initial Plans
EXIN's role will be to re-evaluate the current exam program, design new
examinations based on the developments in information security, and then to
use its global network of exam centers to distribute the exams. Initial
discussions with SCP(R) include plans for the development and delivery of
several SCP certifications including SNCS, SNCP and SNCA.
EXIN Chief Executive Officer Joep van Nieuwstadt said, "This is a very
important partnership we have now with SCP as IT industry trends are showing
that information security issues are a top priority for companies. SCP has
years of training experience and expertise specifically addressing these
issues. Moreover, SCP's curriculum has been frequently praised for its high
quality and "hands on" approach. We want to tap into that knowledge to
produce a qualification program which will be a solid validation of an IT
professional's practical skills in information security."
    Certification Content
SCP(R) is an advanced IT security certification program that tests both
theory and hands-on skills of candidates. The material incorporates roles at
all levels in the organization. SCP(R) has researched and defined the
necessary information security skills that would benefit the general employee
base, as well as the IT administrator, IT manager and IT executive.
SCP President Warren Peterson said, "Our partnership with EXIN is an
ideal match. SCP has a long history of producing excellent security training
while EXIN has a remarkable history of developing and delivering high value,
industry leading certification exams. Together, we can address the industry
need for hands on training and certification in the vendor neutral security
market."
