Newbury Piret Adds International Technology, Media and Telecom Investment Banker

BOSTON, Oct. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Newbury Piret & Company Inc., a leading
Boston investment banking firm, is pleased to announce Sean Sundstrom has
joined the executive team as a Managing Director. Mr. Sundstrom will add
technology, media and telecommunications experience to Newbury Piret's
successful & diverse M&A department.
Mr. Sundstrom has significant US and cross-border transaction experience,
having personally concluded over 30 transactions in the US, UK, & France.
These include running divestment programs for Oce, Cable & Wireless, Dow Jones
and EDS; negotiating the sale of companies to EMC, SunGard, Platinum Equity,
Thomson, Qinetiq Group PLC, and Keane; and managing targeted buy side projects
on behalf of Platinum Technology and Welsh Carson Anderson & Stowe among
others.
Prior to Newbury Piret, Mr. Sundstrom was a Director of Corporate Finance
for KPMG Corporate Finance LLC where he focused on the software, telecom and
IT services industry sectors. He was also Senior Vice President of Business
Development at Parallax Capital Partners (a technology focused private equity
firm affiliated with Golden Gate Capital); Managing Director of the Boston
office of Regent Associates International, the US subsidiary of the London
based investment banking firm; and Investment Banker and Research Director at
Broadview Associates.
Mr. Sundstrom holds an MBA from The George Washington University and
received his French Studies and Business Administration BA from The American
University in Paris.
Mr. Sundstrom will join our growing technology practice which has provided
sell side advisory services to Gulf Computers in their acquisition by HCL
Technologies; Interface in their acquisition by Tumbleweed Communications;
ComCept in their acquisition by L3 Communications; and provided financial
advisory and acquisition financing services to Webhire and GlobalWare
Solutions among others.
