Mark Olson, chair of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) will join Robert Bunting, chair of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) to provide an international overview of the profession. Other notable speakers include the Honorable Aulana Peters, member of the Public Interest Oversight Board, Mark Allison, Executive Director of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and Dr. Zhonghui Zhou, Chief Accountant of the China Securities Regulatory Commission. The National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) will host the FIAR in conjunction with its 101st Annual Meeting on October 26-28, 2008. The organization's mission is to enhance the effectiveness of U.S. state boards of accountancy in meeting their regulatory responsibilities. NASBA promotes the exchange of information among the accountancy boards, serving the needs of the 55 U.S. jurisdictions. The Association is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee.
