Teamsters Call on Cecil County Commissioners to Take Action Against Holman
Contract Warehousing

Holman Refuses to Negotiate in Good Faith or Settle Contract

BALTIMORE, Oct. 23 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Holman Contract Warehousing
employees, represented by Teamsters Local 570 in Baltimore, Maryland, voiced
their concerns to the members of the Cecil County Board of Commissioners at
the Rising Sun Town Hall meeting, calling for the board to take action to help
settle the tenuous labor negotiations that have now dragged on for more than a
year.

The 130 workers voted to retain Local 570 as their bargaining representative
in September 2007, but have not received an acceptable contract offer from the
company. Holman representatives have made unreasonable demands at the
bargaining table including eliminating overtime after an eight-hour workday
and refusing to consider alternate health and welfare options.

"The company has no respect for their workers," said Sean Cedenio,
Secretary-Treasurer of Teamsters Local 570. "We have now met 25 times in the
last calendar year and the company has yet to negotiate in good faith. We have
proposed a health and welfare plan that would not only avoid raising costs for
Holman, but allow the workers to receive a wage increase ranging from 80 cents
to $1.73 per hour depending on what plan they select. We have come to the
table with an open mind, unfortunately the company has not."

Representatives from Local 570 that accompanied the workers at the town hall
meeting called on the Cecil County Board of Commissioners to take action
against Holman to encourage the company to negotiate in good faith and settle
the contract dispute.
