Chile peso closes at new 4-yr low as copper slips

SANTIAGO Oct 23 (Reuters) - Chile's peso closed at a new 4-year low on Thursday after prices slipped for the country's No. 1 export, copper.

After falling more than 2 percent in opening trade, the peso CHILJ CLP=CL closed 1.41 percent weaker at 651.70/652.20 per dollar compared with Wednesday's close at 642.50/643.00.
