NEW YORK, Nov. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Crain's New York Business today announced
the winners of the "Best Places to Work in New York City for 2008"
competition. The 50 finalists represent a diverse range of industries
including architecture, engineering, technology, hospitality and real estate.
A ranking of the top 50 companies appears in this week's Crain's. Lockton
Companies, LLC, an insurance broker, took the coveted first place.

Winners were chosen based on the results of an employee-driven survey
conducted by Crain's New York Business in partnership with Quantum Research.
It is the first study ever conducted to determine the most desirable companies
to work for in New York City.

"Crain's 'Best Places to Work in New York City' represents the most
outstanding employers from throughout our five boroughs, as defined by their
employees," said Jill Kaplan, VP & publisher of Crain's New York Business. "In
these challenging times, this distinguished group of winners can be proud
knowing it was the praise and support of their employees that earned them this
honor."

In addition to a ranking of the top 50 companies, this week's Crain's also
lists the top ten companies in three categories, according to company size:
Small companies, with up to 149 employees; mid-sized companies, with 150 to
