Goldman says intends to issue FDIC notes next week

NEW YORK Nov 21 (Reuters) - U.S. investment bank Goldman Sachs Group Inc (GS.N) said on Friday it intends to issue debt securities guaranteed by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp next week, pending confirmation by credit rating agencies.

The securities, under the FDIC's temporary liquidity guarantee program, will carry a maturity date of June 30, 2012. Order books will open on Monday, with pricing expected early next week. (Reporting by Joseph A. Giannone)
