"Twilight" weekend box office nudged lower

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Vampire romance "Twilight" saw its box office tally lowered slightly to $69.6 million from an estimated $70.5 million for its debut in theaters this past weekend, according to final studio figures released on Monday.
The film, which is based on author Stephenie Meyer's books about a teenage girl and her romance with a vampire boy, was the No. 1 movie at U.S. and Canadian box offices, beating James Bond flick "Quantum of Solace" which was No. 2 with final ticket sales of 26.7 million.
Just behind in the No. 3 spot was Walt Disney Co's animated film "Bolt" with final sales of $26.2 million, according to box office tracker Media by Numbers.
"Twilight" was released by closely held Summit Entertainment, and "Quantum of Solace" was distributed by Columbia Pictures, a division of the media wing of Japanese electronics giant Sony Corp.
