Smoke seen rising from Mumbai Taj hotel

MUMBAI (Reuters) - Large plumes of smoke were seen rising from the top of the landmark Taj Hotel in Mumbai on Thursday and heavy firing could be heard, a Reuters witness said.

Local TV reported that unknown assailants had earlier attacked the hotel, taking hostages, including Western tourists.
