CINCINNATI--(Business Wire)--
Zumiez, a 343-store action sports fashion retailer, has awarded Contingent
Network Services (www.contingent.com) the contract to deploy Contingent’s
EverWorX managed Wide Area Network (WAN) service to consolidate, speed and
simplify store management systems for Zumiez’s new retail locations across the
country. The contract has an estimated value of approximately $600,000. Zumiez
is decommissioning and replacing a self-managed WAN with Contingent’s EverWorX
solution.

A virtual private broadband network will link Zumiez’s new locations by December
2009. Zumiez, like many recent Contingent clients, initiated the deployment to
enable faster credit card processing, remote network monitoring, energy
management and high-speed Internet access across all its locations.

EverWorX enables organizations to streamline their communications and maximize
productivity. The service can provide for 100% coverage throughout North America
with a comprehensive, scalable and worry-free package that combines all elements
of design, deployment and support for a single or multi-site voice and data
network with no capital investment. Unlike other competitive systems, EverWorX
provides more than telecommunications aggregation. It can be fully customized to
fill gaps or outsource entire network operations. Most importantly, EverWorX
provides a 99% Uptime Service Guarantee that protects clients from service
interruption, regardless of the underlying carriers. If service is interrupted,
the client does not pay.

“We were managing a variety of disparate providers and doing our best to
integrate our network in-house, and Contingent introduced us to a very unique
approach that was simple to understand but met our specific needs. Contingent’s
approach of carrier neutrality and best-of-breed solution coupled with
flexibility and competitive rates made this a perfect fit for us,” said Lee
Hudson, Technology Director for Zumiez. “Enough cannot be said about
Contingent’s service level agreements and the automatic outage credits they
provide, regardless if they are able to redeem credits from the underlying
carrier. We have not seen that before.”

With EverWorX, once a network and applications are operational, there typically
is a brief "burn-in" period and then the network is commissioned. If a site goes
down, Contingent is the first to be notified and will have already begun
recovery activities to bring the affected site back online. If the site is down,
the client does not pay for telecommunications service during the outage.
Contingent is capable of addressing problems on-site in as little as two hours
for a critically down circuit, provides clients with full visibility through
proprietary Web-based network monitoring tools and enables access to its
Technical Assistance Center 24x7x365.
