Professional Encoding Solution Allows Media Companies to Receive Video Via the
Web
LOS ANGELES--(Business Wire)--
Framecaster (www.framecaster.com), an award-winning developer of digital media
solutions for the broadcast industry, has released a groundbreaking,
professional-grade encoding solution designed for media companies that receive
video content from the public. iNCoder Pro allows companies to receive video
submissions in a customized manner, in broadcast quality and in their format of
choice through a simple plug-in embedded in their websites.

Designed for broadcasters, news organizations, reality-TV producers and
video-sharing sites, iNCoder Pro allows end-users to easily submit video from
virtually any source including digital files, DV cams and cell phones. At the
same time, the media company controls how videos are encoded and where they are
received. The media company may choose from a variety of popular video formats
including H.264, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, 3G, Flash 8 (VP6) and Windows Media.

iNCoder Pro is currently undergoing beta testing by The Newsmarket, a leading
video distribution service that enables corporations, government and non-profit
organizations to share video content with the media, blogs, consumers, online
communities and other audiences globally.

iNCoder Pro acts as a distributed application that performs the actual encoding
process on the submitter’s computer. This frees bandwidth for the company's site
and eliminates the need for users to compress their videos themselves to conform
to artificial file size restrictions, which often results in poor quality
videos. By contrast, iNCoder Pro allows media companies to preset file size
limits (e.g. 100mb) for video submissions to conform to their particular needs
and application. The software includes support of encoding at resolutions up to
HD.

iNCoder Pro is the first component of planned suite of applications that,
collectively, will comprise a complete solution for encoding, uploading,
organizing, sharing and distributing video media. Framecaster intends to release
applications that will allow users to upload videos from cell phones, and a
desktop widget that will permit users to share video with the media, blogs, and
online communities.
