FACTBOX: Security developments in Afghanistan
(Reuters) - Following are security developments in Afghanistan at 4 a.m. EST on Monday:
HELMAND - U.S.-led coalition and Afghan forces killed six militants during a security patrol in the Sangin district, about 490 km (305 miles) southwest of Kabul, on Sunday, the U.S. military said.
NANGARHAR - U.S.-led coalition and Afghan security forces detained a man suspected of planning a suicide bomb attack to assassinate the governor of Nangarhar province in Jalalabad City, about 230 km (145 miles) east of Kabul, the U.S. military said.
