Riots cost Athens shops 200 million euros: association

ATHENS (Reuters) - The cost of damage to shops and businesses in Athens alone from five days of rioting is estimated at about 200 million euros, the Greek Commerce Confederation said on Wednesday.

"In Athens, we had 565 shops suffering serious damage or being completely destroyed," Vassilis Krokidis, the vice president of the federation said. "The cost of damage only in Athens is estimated at about 200 million euros."
