SINGAPORE Jan 2 (Reuters) - Shell has shut down a selective hydrocracking unit (SHCU) and a hydrogen plant for a 10-day regular maintenance at its Deer Park refinery in Harris, Texas, the company said in a filing.

"Various pieces of equipment will be cleaned and opened for inspection and repairs. The SHCU reactor catalyst will be changed out," the company said in a filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.

The Deer Park refinery is a joint-venture between Royal Dutch Shell (RDSa.L) and Mexican state oil company Pemex. (Reporting by Maryelle Demongeot; Editing by Ramthan Hussain)
