KIEV (Reuters) - Ukrainian state energy firm Naftogaz said on Saturday Gazprom's proposed price of $418 per 1,000 cubic metres for gas supplies in 2009 broke previous agreements between Ukraine and Russia.

It also said it wanted to return to a pre-2006 system of receiving gas, not cash, as compensation for shipping Russian gas cross its territory, which would decrease the amount of gas it would have to buy with cash from Russia.

Naftogaz chief Oleg Dubyna said he was ready to fly to Moscow at any time to sign a deal.
