Taiwan's Fubon Fin sees 2009 profit below 2008

TAIPEI Jan 12 (Reuters) - Fubon Financial (2881.TW), Taiwan's No. 5 financial holding firm, expects profits this year to be slightly below the 2008 level, the company said on Monday, as Taiwan's economy recovers from the global economic slowdown.

Fubon said recently it had a T$10.8 billion ($325 million) net profit for the full year of 2008.

Shares of Fubon ended 3.95 percent lower on Monday, lagging a 0.31 percent fall in the broader TAIEX market .TWII. ($1=T$33.2) (Reporting by Kelvin Soh; Writing by Faith Hung, Editing by Jacqueline Wong)
