Wi-Fi Asset Tracking and Mobile Scanning Solutions Streamline Operations and
Increase Staff Productivity for Glovis, a Hyundai Affiliate
CHICAGO--(Business Wire)--
AeroScout, Inc., the leading provider of Unified Asset Visibility for improving
operational efficiency, along with Psion Teklogix (LSE:PON.L), a global provider
of wireless computing solutions, today announced the successful deployment of
their solutions for asset management and inventory tracking at Glovis Alabama, a
logistics and consolidation center for the Hyundai Automotive Group. Glovis uses
AeroScout`s Wi-Fi Active RFID Yard Management solution to track containers and
yard service vehicles as they enter, travel through and exit the yard, and Psion
Teklogix`s WORKABOUT PRO rugged mobile computers for pallet-level warehouse
inventory tracking. The companies` solutions are helping Glovis to increase
staff productivity, optimize operations and expedite parts movement and
delivery.

"Glovis was using Psion Teklogix mobile devices in the warehouse and turned to
us for a recommendation on a yard management system that would leverage their
existing Wi-Fi network. We evaluated the solutions on the market, and found that
AeroScout`s Wi-Fi Active RFID solution offers the most comprehensive, accurate
and scalable way to accurately and efficiently locate and track assets," said
Ron Caines, President of Worldwide Sales, Psion Teklogix.

Through their partnership, AeroScout and Psion Teklogix offer robust asset
management and mobility solutions. By combining AeroScout`s Yard Management
solution with Psion Teklogix mobile applications and expertise, the two
companies deliver improved automation and operational efficiency to customers in
a variety of industries and environments, both indoors and outdoors.

Glovis Alabama, a member of the Hyundai Kia Automotive Group, moves close to a
million automotive parts a day through its 250,000 square-foot facility.
Containers are shipped from Korea and transported to the facility which manages
500 containers at any given time. The company required better accuracy in
locating containers in the yard and improved tracking of inventory as it enters
the warehouse. When a container enters the yard, gate personnel at the Glovis
facility apply an AeroScout Wi-Fi tag and couple it with the container`s number.
Yard service vehicles, that pull the containers around the yard, as well as
other service vehicles are similarly tagged.

The containers and vehicles are continuously tracked throughout the yard, and
the location information is sent to AeroScout`s MobileView software via Glovis`s
Wi-Fi network. MobileView provides a searchable, color-coded view of the current
and historical location and status of the assets, as well as reporting and
alerting tools. This data is integrated through MobileView`s open API into
Glovis` existing Yard Management System, giving the company a more accurate and
up-to-date record of its inventory so it can quickly deliver needed parts to
Hyundai or replenish warehouse stock. This solution replaced an unreliable
process that used spreadsheets and manual updates.

When warehouse stock is replenished, Psion Teklogix` WORKABOUT PRO tracks
pallets of parts once they are removed from containers. The solution features
flexible ergonomics, a user-friendly interface, is IP65 rated for water and dust
resistance, and can withstand multiple 5-foot drops to concrete. Warehouse
workers scan barcode labels on the pallets with the rugged mobile devices, and
the information is also automatically sent to the Glovis` Yard Management
System.

"AeroScout and Psion Teklogix are giving us the solutions we need to do an even
better job of mastering the choreography of receiving, locating, and delivering
an enormous volume of parts at a moment`s notice," said Jin-Ho Choi, Chief
Executive Officer at Glovis Alabama. "We`ve been able to improve productivity,
expedite gate traffic, and track campus assets with better efficiency."

"Streamlining operations is a challenge in logistics yards and distribution
centers, and we are pleased to work with Psion Teklogix to provide the real-time
location and status of assets needed to make better decisions and efficiently
manage Glovis` containers and vehicles," said Amir Ben-Assa, Director of
Industry Solutions at AeroScout. "Our asset visibility solutions deliver value
to logistics companies both indoors and outdoors all while leveraging standard
Wi-Fi networks."

AeroScout and Psion Teklogix will both be featuring their solutions this week at
the ProMat 2009 conference in Chicago, from January 12 - 15, in AeroScout`s
booth #5555 and Psion Teklogix` booth #3541.
