World Energy Solutions Develops World's First 'Tri-brid' Motor Vehicle

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Jan. 12, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- World Energy Solutions,
Inc. (OTCBB:WEGY) announced today that it has successfully developed and tested
a "tri-brid" motor vehicle at its Research & Development laboratory in St.
Petersburg, Florida. The "tri-brid" applies the Company's Proprietary HHO
(Hybrid Hydrogen-Oxygen) System to a hybrid engine to produce even greater fuel
efficiency and emission reduction.
Conversion to World Energy's HHO System, in this case a Ford Hybrid "Escape"
SUV, enables the prime fuel to be replaced with hydrogen and oxygen molecules.
This increases the engine's gas mileage and reduces its emissions to little more
than water.
Ben Croxton, World Energy CEO, said, "The concept works extremely well. We
successfully increased the mpg (miles per gallon) of the prime fuel. We are now
embarking on a sophisticated testing program to find the best combinations of
gasoline and gasses to provide the optimum increase of mpg whilst maintaining
the engine's torque and horse power. We are pleased to refer to this development
as 'Tri-brid Technology'."
World Energy has developed an electronic means of regulating the hydrogen and
oxygen gasses in a way which permits the 'Escape's' computer control system to
remain intact while creating greater efficiency in the "Atkinson Cycle" internal
combustion engine. Test results to date have been confirmed by placing the
vehicle on an automobile chassis dynamometer. This will enable all test results
to be independently verified.
The combination of gasoline with hydrogen and oxygen provides a more efficient
and complete burn in the engine cylinders. This reduces emissions dramatically.
In separate testing, our Honda test vehicle showed hydro-carbon emissions were
reduced by over 99% and carbon monoxide emissions by 92%. Particulate emissions
-- soot -- were almost all eliminated. These significantly reduced emissions are
all well within federal regulations for emission reduction and the increase in
mpg is compatible with proposed legislation.
